Trailmark ADV works fully offline and keeps all your data on your device. Most questions are answered below; the same help lives inside the app under Settings → Help & Support.
Before you leave service, open Tools → Download maps and grab a state or a custom-drawn area. Downloaded maps, search, and tap-to-identify all work in airplane mode.
Yes. Start recording and lock the phone — your track keeps recording in the background. If the phone dies or the app is closed mid-ride, the recording is recovered automatically the next time you open the app.
Say “Hey Siri, mark a waypoint in Trailmark ADV.” For screen-off background capture, turn on Settings → Siri & Voice → Hands-free background capture (it needs Always location).
Yes — open a GPX, GeoJSON, KML, or KMZ file into Trailmark (from Files, Messages, or another app) and review it before saving. Your Gaia and onX data comes over with its colors, routes, and icons. You can also export your own data as GPX to share back. See the import guide.
Saved → Export all data writes one backup file with every waypoint, track, trip, photo, and setting. On the new phone, import that file to restore it all. Re-importing is safe — it never makes duplicates.
Settings → Units and Coordinates. Coordinates can be decimal, DMS, or UTM.
The Guides walk through trips, offline maps, marking waypoints, and bringing your data over.
Trailmark ADV has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. See the full Privacy Policy.
